YOUR DATA

Your rides stay with you

When you load a ride, the app reads the file directly in your browser to show the map, graphs and ride details.
The ride file is never uploaded!

Your loaded rides are saved in the browser's local database, so you can open them again later. You can export, import or clear that database at any time.

The server keeps aggregate daily page-view counts by country. It does not store IP addresses, locations, cookies, visitor identifiers or individual records.

Only the general area of a ride is shared.
I only know how many rides in a ~500km2 (~200 sq mi) box were loaded.
This helps me understand where the app is being used and which riding communities it reaches.
No ride data is uploaded!
I only know how many rides in each region-box were loaded!
Example only—these counts are fictional. Each number represents imports assigned to a broad area, never a route, start point or exact position.
ABOUT THE APP

Avinox Ride Explorer

What it does

It opens Avinox ride records and turns the recorded GPS and sensor data into a synchronized route, ride summary and timeline graphs.

How to use it

Load ride files, or connect an unlocked Android phone with USB debugging enabled. Move over a graph to inspect that moment on the map. Drag graph cards by their headings to arrange them.

Where your data goes

Ride files are parsed and stored locally in this browser. They are not uploaded. If broad-region sharing is enabled, only an anonymous area about 25 km wide is counted; no route or ride details are sent.

Why it exists

Standard exports do not expose every value recorded by the bike. This unofficial community tool makes those additional channels easier to explore and compare.

Good to know

Android loading requires Chrome or Edge and a USB data cable. You can export, import or clear the local ride database at any time. This tool is not affiliated with DJI or Avinox.

Install as an app

When Chrome offers installation, use Install App in the top bar. The explorer then opens in its own app window. Its interface can start offline, but map tiles still require an internet connection.

Reading the graphs

All graphs share one cursor. To zoom, click in the plot area and drag horizontally across the time range you want to inspect. You can repeat this to zoom in further. The map shows only that part of the route while preserving its value colours. To unzoom and show the complete ride again, double-click anywhere in the plot area. Dense sensor channels are lightly smoothed for readability, while gear, assist and raw IMU values remain unchanged.

Accuracy and missing data

Values come from the ride record and may reflect sensor noise, recording gaps or unavailable accessories. Heart rate appears only when a compatible sensor was connected. GPS, altitude and gradient can be less precise under cover or between sparse samples.

Troubleshooting

If Android does not appear, unlock it, confirm USB debugging, use a data-capable cable and close other ADB tools. In Developer options, try Revoke USB debugging authorizations, then disconnect and reconnect the phone and approve the new debugging prompt. If the map is blank, check the internet connection; ride parsing and saved rides still stay local.

ANDROID RIDES

Load from your Android phone

No app is required. Your ride is read directly from the phone and stays in this browser.

  1. Enable Developer options: on your phone, open Settings → About phone and tap Build number seven times.
  2. Open Settings → Developer options and enable USB debugging.
  3. Connect the phone to this computer with a USB data cable and unlock it.
  4. Select Connect phone below, choose your phone in the browser window, then approve Allow USB debugging on the phone.
Requires Chrome or Edge. If the phone is not listed, disconnect it, close other ADB tools, reconnect it and try again.
GET RIDE FILES

Where are my Avinox rides?

Easiest: load directly from your Android phone

First open the Avinox app and make sure the rides you want are visible and synchronized. Then connect the unlocked Android phone with a USB data cable. Ride Explorer can find and copy the records for you.

Copy files manually

Avinox stores ride records below this Android folder:

/sdcard/Android/data/com.avinox.ride/files/ebike/data/

Look inside its ride folders for files named cloud_ride_rec_*.proto, copy them to your computer, then load them here or drag them onto the map.

Android often hides the Android/data folder from normal file-manager apps. If you cannot browse it, use the built-in Android loader above. A standard .fit export is a different file and does not contain all the Avinox channels shown here.

iPhone / iOS Untested

Try the iPhone Files app: Browse → On My iPhone, then look for AvinoxRide or search for cloud_ride_rec. You can also connect the iPhone to a Mac and check Finder, or to Windows and check Apple Devices, under Files / File Sharing.

This works only if AvinoxRide exposes its internal documents to iOS File Sharing. I have not confirmed that it does, and there may currently be no normal way to retrieve the raw .proto files from an iPhone. Please send a message through the ? dialog if you discover a working method.
